Prestigious Financial Services Organization is seeking a Lead JAVA Solutions Architect to participate in the development and maintenance of application and information system architecture. Responsibilities include: Participates in the development and maintenance of application system architecture that covers business, data, application, and technology domains. Creates architecture documents for assigned projects, including architecture patterns, decisions, and rationale for those decisions Identifies and compares alternative solutions to determine the optimal solution that will meet business needs. Ensures alignment of solution architecture to business objectives, roadmaps and IT strategic directions, as well as to our company's architecture principles and standards Presents and communicates the solution architecture to various stakeholders, both technical and business, and be able to explain how the solution design will meet business needs. Acts as counselor to business counterparts, customers, and top management on requirements pertinent to the technical capability. Provides leadership and guidance in the following: Advises external vendors, business owners, and IT groups regarding our architecture guideline Drives application architectural decisions for the systems under development Leads the applications integration and design discussions among multiple applications groups Influences key decisions for the technical and infrastructure architecture. Advises the system and infrastructure configuration from application performance, scalability, and capacity perspective. Provides guidance to business counterparts, customers, and top management on requirements pertinent to the technical capability Qualifications At least 15 years of experience in Information Technology. 10 years of hands-on experience in solution, application, or information architecture. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience Experience in defining large scale enterprise applications that apply service-oriented architecture (SOA) and Event Driven Architecture(EDA) disciplines. Experience with web-based application architecture. Experience with architecture or design modelling frameworks, like TOGAF and UML. Familiarity with Agile (Scrum) project methodology and practices. 10 years of hand-on experience in the programming language with J2EE and various scripts Perl/Python/Jython/csh. Hands-on experience with some of the following technologies including Web Service API, Integration/EAI technologies like Informatica, ESB, .NET and related technologies like XML, Database technologies like Oracle, MySQL, JDBC, SQL, stored procedures. Broad technology experience and knowledge across multiple disciplines such as application Middleware server, database Servers, infrastructure platform, security products, ETL products, rule engines, and BI tools.
